Courtney Hansen has always been fascinated by what happens behind the scenes of the creative industry. Through her curiosity, she had found her way to the fashion industry through becoming a qualified pattern maker with an Advanced Diploma in Applied Fashion Design and Merchandising. before graduating, she has was awarded the Pam Roberts Memorial Scholarship for her exceptional pattern making and construction skills.

in 2020, Courtney acquired The Patternmaking Studio, a 20-year strong brand catering to a variety of clients and various brands within the Australian fashion scene.

She has experience in manual and digital pattern making, grading and sewing (toiling) for various local clothing brands.
